The Apprentice’s Notes is a 1★ star weapon, there is no reason for you to put it on any character. It comes with your character by default because it is just a placeholder for a real weapon.
How to obtain?
From Investigation
Some weapons are hidden in the world and appear when you investigate certain spots, like sparkle points in ruins or secret areas. They’re often tied to puzzles or lore-rich places. If you love exploring, these are great little rewards to find.
From Chests
Some unique weapons are tucked away in treasure chests - usually luxurious or hidden ones. Keep your eyes open for puzzles, secret areas, and luxurious chests - especially in newer regions. If you are hunting for chests, you can view all of them on the interactive map or by using a treasure compass.
From NPCs
In some cases, you’ll get a weapon directly from an NPC, and the Apprentice’s Notes is one of them. Try helping them in some way, or directly buying it from them. These are usually niche or lore-based items — not meta-defining, but fun to collect and sometimes useful if you’re building around specific teams.
